My kids love this recipe and my husband too, he is not really a fan of chocolate but I was surprise when he ate most of these muffins LOL! So this is definitely a win for our family. Ingredients :
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 2/3 cup apple sauce
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup oil
Directions :
- Pre-heat the oven to 350 Fahrenheit.
- In a big bowl mix all the dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, salt, sugar, brown sugar, cocoa powder. Mix them up.
- Make a crater in the middle and pour the oil, milk, apple sauce, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix it using the hand mixer or a standing mixer.
- Mix the dark and semi sweet chocolate chips together, should be equal to 1 cup all together, and add half of them into the batter. Mix them well.
- Insert the muffin or cupcake liners into the muffin pan.
- Begin to scoop the batter into the liners, they should be 2/3 full.
7. Bake it for 20-23 minutes and then let them cool down completely.
